- Annual imperial stout, using a modified Vader Juice recipe
- Brewing a year early to properly age it
- practice getting high mash efficiency
- add lactose for creamier body
- add bourbon wood chips while aging

Lessons
- If I double mash in equal amounts then I can get away with 20l of liquor at start
- Dough in at 65, leave to rest for 10 minutes before starting sparge.
- Use top plate and lid
- stop every 20 minutes for a stir
- mash for full hour
- mash out at 75, with extra litre of 75C water for rinsing.
- let drain slowly then squash every last drop out with top plate.
- Extra water can be added, just boil until correct volume achieved. 180 minute boil got me correct volume and efficiency.
